At the age of four, I took my first steps into a ballet class, and I loved it so much that I continued my classical ballet training for the next fourteen years, following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi. During this time, I completed numerous graded and vocational examinations and took part in many performances.
I went on to complete my Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the Royal Academy of Dance and have now been teaching ballet for over six years. Alongside my dance training, I have also worked for many years in childcare, giving me a strong understanding of the importance of adapting learning to suit each individual child. I truly believe that everyone can learn ballet, and that every child deserves the opportunity to develop at their own pace in an environment where they feel comfortable, supported and encouraged.
I am First Aid trained, Garda Vetted and Tusla Child Protection certified.
As a teacher, I am passionate about using ballet to teach children valuable skills that extend far beyond the studio. Discipline, perseverance, focus and commitment are all important parts of a dancer's journey, but I believe these should be developed alongside confidence, creativity and enjoyment.
Above all, my goal is for every student who walks through our doors to feel confident, excited to dance and to learn.
